Candle Care Guide

Whether you're using candles for a special dinner, to relax in your bathtub, or simply to enjoy their gentle flickering light, candles can be a great addition to your daily life.

However, it's important to take care not to let your candles get out of control.

Here are some tips for properly caring for your candles and keeping them burning safely:

✦ Place candle on a stable surface away from flammable objects before lighting and keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

✦ Trim the wick before each use, keeping it short (about 0,5 cm) so that it doesn't produce too much smoke. A smoky candle can be a fire hazard.

✦
When you first light a candle, let it burn for up to 4 hours so that the wax can melt evenly to the edges of the container. This will help prevent tunneling, which can make your candle last longer.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish it if you leave the room or go to sleep.

✦
Never burn a candle more than 4 hours at a time. This can cause the heat to build up and potentially start a fire.

✦
If you notice any flickering or smoking, extinguish the candle immediately and trim the wick again before relighting.

✦
Never burn a candle all the way down. Stop burning it when there is about 0,5 cm of wax left.

By following these simple tips, you can enjoy your candles safely and keep them burning beautifully for many uses!
